Chennai Book Fair

Whoever was lamenting that the reading habit is dead should have visited the Chennai Book Fair. There was a huge crowd at the place. Check out the photos...

Queue to get in to the exhibition...at Rs.5 per head, the organisers were making a killing...

The crowd inside...
Inside

The Aavin booth was the best of the lot...they had this outside the fair so that they don't need to pay a royalty for setting it up inside and as soon as the people came out they could quench their thirst with cool ice-creams and flavoured milks...good business sense!
Aavin!

And finally...another person making a killing as well...pavement sellers just outside the entrance where Harry Potter was for Rs.75(700 inside)! Of course, I bought Richard Branson's autobiography and Chetan Bhagat's One Night @ The Call Center...both for Rs.100;)
