Airtel DTH

After poring through various DTH operators and comparing their packages and pricing, I finally bought Airtel DTH. I was surprised at the speed of their operation from buying to installation. I purchased on Saturday afternoon to be told that it will be installed next day. Within an hour, I had an SMS on my mobile that the installation is scheduled for 9 AM on Sunday. At 5 PM, one of the installation folks calls up and asks whether he can install it that day itself ! So, he comes in at 6.30 PM and the whole installation, setup et al is over by 8 PM ! This is seamless, after my earlier experience with one of the other jokers, aka DishTV.
I cannot really identify whether this is better than the jokers in terms of picture quality or sound, but was intrigued to note that there is a menu option for internet (which doesn't work) and the STB has a USB slot! I will have to see how good their customer service is, compared to the jokers (you wish that the person at the other end can at least speak two words together). The Airtel website works compared to that pathetic, woeful piece that serves no purpose except to thrust King Khan on your face. Fingers crossed...
